  2. denise says:

I got to to end of Breaking point and as it didn’t seem finished I hoped to find a sequel. Is there one? Surely this cant be the end!!

  3. Demita Winegardner says:

When will I be able to get Refiner’s Fire on my Nook? I just discovered you on smashwords.com a few days ago and I’ve read Raw Deal and Red Carpet…I’ve got to read Refiner’s Fire! You’re killing me! I’m looking forward to reading more of your work. Congrats on finishing your dissertation! Thanks!

  4. Dayo Benson says:

Hi Demita, thanks, my dissertation being done is like a huge load lifted, lol. Refiner’s Fire will be available on Smashwords in September. At the moment I’m in a binding deal with Amazon that means it can’t be available anywhere else but on Amazon until then. Glad you enjoyed Raw Deal and Red Carpet xx

  5. Suzette says:

    Hi Dayo
I hope you and your family are well.
When will Refiners Fire be available on epub format?
    Kind regards

  6. Suzette says:

Thanks. Will check again nest week. 😉

  7. Amy says:

I think you are an amazing writer but why are your main characters always Caucasian? Most of them are actually …from the way you describe the colour of their eyes and hair…I can tell that they are never black or even mixed raced. Why is that?

    • Dayo Benson says:

      Hi Amy,

Thanks for your comment and for taking interest in my books 🙂 My main characters are actually of many different ethnicities. My last two books (Lust and Season of Hope) have Caucasian main characters, but Dana (main character of Prodigal) is African American from Texas, Lexi (main character of my Beauty for Ashes Series) is of Cuban heritage, and Drew (from my Drew Ashley Series) is British Black. Noemi (Lust) and Robyn (Season of Hope) are White British. I like to write about people from lots of different ethnicities. As I plan books and get to know my characters I picture them a certain way so they pretty much tell me who they are and what they look like. I hope this answers your question. Maybe you would like to try one of my earlier books and see what you think. Thanks.

      • Amy says:

Wow!!! I am really really sorry I assumed. Apologies if I came off offensive. I think you are absolutely amazing!!! You are sincerely one of the best writers ever. May God continue to bless you abundantly and continue to increase this talent He has entrusted you with in Jesus name.(amen) I’m currently reading ‘Lust’ and Noemi is so similar to me! Its unbelievable. Thanks a lot for answering my silly question politely. God bless

      • Dayo Benson says:

No worries Amy. I didn’t mind your question at all and was not offended by it. Thanks for all your kind words, I am very touched!! I’m glad you’re enjoying Lust. God bless you too. Regards.

    • PTA says:

Well done Dayo! I have read two of your books and not only were they a huge blessing, but they were also excellently written with so much suspense that simply keeps you craving for what’s next! You’re such a gifted writer. God bless you and keep you connected to Him – the Source of your inspiration. Looking forward to reading more of your books!

  8. Amy says:

Amen! Thank you. And erm one more thing. I know this may be a silly question because you have already explicitly displayed that Lust belongs to a pure passion series but will there be a sequel to Lust? Will it be about Noemi’s and David’s story still? Will it be out by next year? I am so excited! Ahhhhhh!

    • Dayo Benson says:

Well the pure passion series is supposed to be all separate standalone novels so there is no sequel to Noemi and David planned at the moment. This could change though because you’re not the first person to ask. I’d have to figure out what it would be about. I’m really glad you like their story 🙂

      • Amy says:

Yeah I understand why! Sorry, I asked you about the sequel before I actually finished the novel when things were looking really bleak. Their story is pretty much completed and the message has been delivered. God’s will shall always come to pass. It would be pointless to describe how I feel about this book because words cannot even describe how it touched me and taught me about myself. TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED STARS for LUST. I absolutely cannot wait for the next one! God bless and thank you so so so so much for writing this book !

      • Dayo Benson says:

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback, Amy. It is much appreciated. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. The other books in the series should be out next year. Best Wishes.

  9. Anonymous says:

    Hi dayo
What age child or teen or adult would you say your books are suitable for? Particularly the lust one.
Pls let me know I am just seeing if they are suitable for my niece

  10. Tiffany says:

    Hello Dayo!
I am a huge fan of your novels-especially Lust,Breaking Point and Blurred Vision. Lust in particular though. That book helped to break me down and then rebuild me again. I have a lot of new perspectives on things.
However,I am now suffering from withdrawal symptoms lol. When is your next book coming out? Will it be part of the pure passion series? Will it be a novel?

I really love the length of your books as well because as such an avid reader, I need a book that will sustain me for at least a week. I also recommended your books to my friend who has been going through a lot lately and she said that they have been really therapeutic for her and she is in love with the Beauty For Ashes series. She loved Lust aswell.
I wish I could read it for the first time again! I also love how you implement scriptures into your writing. Oh gosh, I feel so emotional now. Every one thinks I’m such a loser when I cry over how much I love a book or when it finishes but it affects me much deeper than anyone could ever know -except God. The characters are so real to me and the inconsistency of their budding relationships really does reflect reality and humanity. I actually wanted to smash Harvey and Drew’s heads together at one point. I think they frustrated me the most.
Thank you and may God bless you and your family dearly x

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Tiffany, wow I’m glad you enjoy my books so much and that they have been helpful to you. Thank you for recommending my books to your friend as well. About the withdrawal symptoms, I have finished the next book in the Pure Passion Series but it’s in editing now, which takes as long as it takes. I’m hoping it will be ready for March. I wrote a blog post about it which should give you some idea of what it’s about: http://dayobenson.com/2014/01/19/cover-for-my-upcoming-book/
You’re not alone in getting connected to books. We all do sometimes 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to give me your feedback.
      God bless.
      Dayo xx

  11. Kenzy C. says:

Hi dayo! I’ve recently read a lot of your books and they are so inspiring! I absolutely loved them and didn’t want to put them down. I hope to become a great author too one day, and I was wondering if I could interview you, over email, about being a Christian author in this world that Christianity isn’t number one priority anymore. It’s for a school project where I have to interview people in the career path I want to take. And as my favorite author, I thought it would be really cool to interview you. Please get back in touch with me. Thanks so much (:

  12. laylay says:

Dayo please please please write another book in the beauty for ashes series am so sad that it is already over. I am literally crying right now.

  13. Tiffany says:

Hey! Hope you are well! When is Bondage coming out on Kindle!?

    • Dayo Benson says:

I’m well, thanks. You? I was hoping for the end of this week but it’s now looking like some time next week. I’ll do a blog post to announce it when it comes out. Thanks for your patience.

  14. Tiffany says:

Also, I miss Drew and Harvey. Any chance for a sequel?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hmm, I’m all out of steam for those two so no plans for a sequel at the moment. Sorry. I never say never though.

      • Tiffany says:

I’m fine also thanks! OMG this week!!!!???? I can’t believe thisssss. Wow I am really really excited now.

And LOL yeah I understand. Their story was so beautiful. As was Noemi’s and Davids. I wish I could read it for the first time again. All these women seem to be very headstrong and sooo sooo funny
Thanks so much, can’t wait for Bondage! Xx

      • Tiffany says:

But all the characters are very very different and unique as well (forgot to add that)

      • Dayo Benson says:

        Thanks Tiffany 🙂

  15. Marsha A says:

    Hi Dayo,
I cannot remember the last time that I read a series that I enjoyed so much as the beauty for ashes series. I did not read the books in order as I as sometimes rather impatience to get to the end of the story. So I initially skipped red carpet and went straight to refiners fire after raw deal. Usually when you read a series out of sequence it is a bit anticlimactic but I just
Finished red carpet and it captured my attention and imagination as much as the others even though I already knew the outcome.

As an avid reader, it is sometimes hard to find uplifting, believable and enjoyable books without the courseness. Your books do so suberbly and I can understand why so many of your readers expect you to produce a new book every day.:).

I encourage you to continue to bring good clean wholesome materials and entertain us with characters such as Lexi and Jace. I was very interested in the S.O.T connection and it is amazing how many of us Christians who refuse to believe that their is a dark and evil world out there.

May the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to fill you with more and more of himself daily so you can continue to be an awesome inspiration to all who read your books and support you.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Thanks for your kind words Marsha. I really appreciate you taking the time to write all that. I’m so glad you enjoyed the beauty for ashes series. I’ve had quite a few emails from readers saying they want to know more about the SOT, which surprised me as I didn’t think anyone would be interested in them. As a result I will be writing Crystal’s story soon (Lexi’s daughter), which will focus on her trying to escape the SOTs clutches. Thanks again and God bless xx

Hello ! You are so talented. I loved Purity and Bondage! Just wanted to know when Pressure will be released and what is pressure about?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi there, thank you I’m glad you liked Purity and Bondage. I’m hoping to release Pressure in July. I just wrote a blog post on what Pressure is about. You can find that HERE.
      God bless x

  17. Lydia says:

Heyyyy..do you know of any other Christian authors and any of their good books that I can read until I wait for Pressure to be released…..thank you Dayo xx

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Lydia, there are plenty of fab Christian authors. I’d recommend anything by Denise Hunter and Dee Henderson. Also, there’s this edgy Christian fiction author called Michelle Sutton who is really good. I’d recommend her if you want something different from your typical Christian fiction. Her book ‘Letting Go’ is really good. I recommend a few books in this blog post too. Blessings x

  18. Lydia says:

When is pressure out and what will it be about? x

  19. Shirley says:

Ive just read your book lust, brilliant it was like reading my own life story, strggling at moment my friend eddie for 15 years is not speaking, feel rejected & broken had a life time of failed relationships just trusting in the Lord now any feed back would be appreciated thankyou
    Shirley x

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Shirley, we all go through hard times and I just want to assure you that you are not alone. God knows all about what you’re going through and you are precious and special to Him. Failed relationships do not define you. You are still special and precious. Stay strong and remember the words of Jesus: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). I’m glad you enjoyed reading Lust. Keep trusting God, because He always comes through xxx

  20. Any possibility that your books will release in paperback in the near future? I just saw LUST advertised on The Fussy Librarian and read the sample on Amazon. It looks like a book I’d love to finish, but I don’t like e-reading for a variety of reasons. I’d love to get it in paperback. Do you have any plans to publish your adult books in paperback?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Dawn, this is a question I’m getting asked often now and it’s a reminder to me each time. I do have plans to publish my books as paperbacks but it won’t be for a while yet. Unfortunately I don’t even have a date to give you yet, but it will happen, hopefully soon. If you change your mind about e-reading and decide to give ‘Lust’ a try I would be happy to hear what you think. Thanks for getting in touch and God bless.

      • xandert says:

I got it from Amazon today. E-reading is really difficult for me in many ways, no matter how much I like an author’s work. Annoying as all get-out. But I’m going to try to read LUST. I’m up to ch 5, but had to take a break. My eyes can’t take any more right now. I’ll definitely be watching for your books to come available in paperback. Based on what I’ve read so far, I really like your writing style. 🙂 I know some other paperback-only readers I think would like it, too.

      • Dayo Benson says:

Thank you for taking the pains to read Lust even though e-reading is challenging for you. I really appreciate that. And I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far. Hopefully you’ll consider it ‘worth it.’ I know that I’m excluding a lot of readers by not having my books out as paperbacks so I will be rectifying this 🙂 God bless xx

  21. chrishelle says:

    Hi Dayo,
I am a christian, I was looking for a christian romantic novel that would inspire me as a believer-and i did!!! It was refreshing to know that your books spoke to the realities we face as believers when waiting on God for love. Thanks so very much, continue to let God use you!!!

  22. chrishelle says:

Oh and Dayo, all the way from Trinidad and Tobago (that’s in the Caribbean) I will be introducing your books to my youth meeting.

    • Dayo Benson says:

I hope the young people enjoy the books too. Thank you for introducing my books to them.
I’m so jealous that you live in beautiful Trinidad and Tobago 🙂 I’d love to visit the Caribbean someday. God bless.

  23. temmy says:

Finished reading Raw Deal and I couldn’t wait to lay my hands on Red Carpet….. I’m about to start now and I’m so excited!
    God bless you Dayo!!

  24. angie mcminn says:

Hello Dayo im from England uk. Im a christian. I love sizzle worthy hot romance but had to step away from secular books because of their crude explicitness. Im no prude! I like a hot read tho. Can u (or anyone ?) point me in the right direction? Id love a good edgy christian romance series.

    God bless x

    • Dayo Benson says:

      Hey Angie,

I always recommend Michelle Sutton when people ask me about edgy Christian books. Unfortunately I haven’t done much reading lately so can’t think of anyone else that super edgy right now, although you can’t go wrong with Karen Kingsbury, or Melody Carlson. But they are not edgy in the ‘sizzly’ way that you want 🙂 If you haven’t read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers you really need to read it. It’s great and very edgy in my opinion. Denise Hunter is also really good. I recommend ‘Barefoot Summer’ or ‘Sweetwater Gap.’ Dee Henderson is good too, but she’s more of suspense than romance. I’d recommend ‘Danger in the Shadows’ by her. It’s a sweet romantic suspense with a great message about trusting God.
Good luck with finding something to read.
P.S. I’m from England, too. Liverpool to be precise x

    Hi Dayo Benson

I stumbled on your book – Prodigal on Amazon and on starting it, I assumed you were based in the U.S, so I was surprised to find you are based here in the U.K. I have to ask whether you have previously lived there as you write so authoritatively about the states. Now, about the book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Increasingly, I find myself being a critical reader and not being very impressed with recent offerings but I was very impressed by your work, even more so when I learnt you have not had formal education in writing. Your characters, scenes and dialogues are believable even though I spent most of the time wishing I could give Dana a good walloping.

    • Dayo Benson says:

      Hi there,

No, I have never lived in the States, but I love all things American 🙂 I would love to visit someday.
I’m so glad you enjoyed Prodigal. Dana is a real case isn’t she?
If you read any more of my books I would love your feedback.

  26. Sally says:

Hi Dayo! I’ve just finished the ‘beauty from ashes’ series, and I REALLY enjoyed it! Thank you for your writing! 🙂 Also, I love that you incorporate God into your stories as well, It’s hard to get a romance novel as good as yours that is clean and talks about God! 🙂 Thanks again, Sally 🙂

  27. Rolake says:

I saw introduced to one of your books (Raw Deal) am I have only been reading it for a week and am half way through it an I get excited just reading it. It is an amazing book I love they way it relates to relationship with friends, family, and God. It reminds me of what I went through when my dad past away and all the question I had.
I can’t wait to see how the story

  28. Prudence says:

    Hi Dayo,

I am truly a fan of all your novels, and i have literally bought and read almost all of them , apart from the ones you generously sent to me :). I was really excited to find Crystal’s story and i immediately bought and read all 3 ! I gave them all 5 stars! I rejoiced with Crystal and felt her pains and her triumphs… But, after reading Insurrection ( Crystal book 3), i just didn’t feel like there was closure…i kept wanting to know more…what happened to her? What happened to Juda? Help a gal out here and please write book four?!

    Yours anxiously waiting….

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Prudence, I’m glad you’re enjoying the books. I’m glad you find Crystal relatable 🙂 Allies (Crystal 4) will be out in May. I’ll reveal the cover soon because I just got it from my designer today. Thanks for your comment and God bless.

  29. Maureen says:

Hello Dayo, I just finished reading lust and searchlight and I am very impressed. I especially loved the story of Ezekiel and his wife that David told Noemi. I have read the passage in the bible before but reading it in Lust gave me a new perspective and I have since gone back to highlight it in my bible. After reading searchlight, I couldn’t stop thinking about crystal so I have bought the other books in the series. Please unveil the next crystal book asap. Thanks for impacting your generation through writing, I pray the lord whom your serve passionately will continue to be with you and that your work will not start against you on judgement day. Shalom

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Maureen, thank you so much for your comment. Amen to your Judgement Day prayer 🙂 I’m glad you like my books. That chapter in Ezekiel really speaks to me and I’m glad it resonates with you too. Yeah, Crystal’s story is pretty intense. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy her journey. God bless and thanks for commenting. Dayo.

  30. Maureen says:

Hello Dayo, I have finished book 1-3 of Crystal series and can’t wait for book 4! Meanwhile, I really love Lexi’s story and her journey towards surrendering to God taught me so many things. Keep up the good work.

  31. Anthea says:

Will book 4 be out soon?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Anthea, book 4 is still with my editor, but I should be getting it back sometime this week, so hopefully I’ll be able to publish it soon. Thanks xx

  32. Vivian says:

    Hi dayo
I hope you and your family are well
I was kust wondering when book 5 of the crystal series will be out because i just finished allies and i was wondering if book 5 will be out soon
    God bless

    • Dayo Benson says:

You’ve read Allie’s already??? Wow! Book 5, tentatively titled Delirium, is supposed to be out on 1st of July. But if I can do anything to make it happen sooner I will. I’m so glad you like this series 🙂 Blessings xx

      • Vivian says:

        Dear Dayo
I hope you and your family are well
I was just wondering if delirium is still going to be out tomorrow I’m like dying for the next book to come out
        God bless

      • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Vivian, it’s supposed to come out on July 1st, not June, but I’m hoping it’ll be ready before then because I’ve had a few messages from impatient readers 🙂 I wish it could be out today, but it’s just not in a readable state yet. Really sorry. If you’re on my new release you’ll get an email as soon as it’s out. God bless xx

  33. Alexandra says:

Hello Dayo! When do we expect book 6 & 7 in the Crystal series out. Can’t wait to read the concluding part of this story.

You are an amazing author. Your books highlight the struggles that young Christians go through and encourage one to continue to work out their salvation while fulfilling God ‘s purpose.

    Eku writing

    • Dayo Benson says:

‘Eku writing’ – ha ha I love that. Thank you. The next book needs major re-writes so I’m not sure when it’ll be out, but I’ll announce a date as soon as I can. I’m glad you’re enjoying the series. God bless.

  34. Amanda Brewster says:

Hi when will secrets to be be out for purchase? Thanks. Looking forward to it.

  35. Ursula Fikelepi says:

When will sleeper be out and how many more books in this series?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Ursula, there’ll be 9 books total in the Crystal series, so 3 books left. I’ll announce a date for Sleeper as soon as I know 🙂

      • Dee says:

        Hi Dayo…

I am truly enjoying this series…you have depicted the struggles are present in our society…good vs evil…reminding us of the power of the enemy and that God is forever stronger…evil and good cannot exist in the same space…you have captured so well scenes, behaviours, attitudes, atmospheres etc Just loving Crystal and admire her fighting prayerful spirit and her love for Juda…She knows that Juda is redeemable and the decision is between him & God…you are gifted and blessed! Please continue to use your creative mind in writing these beautiful novels and I will continue to read them…God bless!

      • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Dee, I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series. Thank you so much for your comment. You’re so kind. God bless you too 🙂

  36. Kim says:

Okay so i just finished book 6 secrets in the crystal series and it lists expose books 6.5. Is that an actual book? And if so how do I get a hold of it to read? I absolutely love all of your books and especially this series!

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Kim, there is a link to book 6.5 within Secrets, on the pages that say ‘Free Novelette.’ There is one at the beginning of the book and another one at the end. Let me know if you still can’t download it and I’ll be happy to email you a copy.
Thanks. I’m glad you like my books 🙂

  39. kathrynsouth says:

    Hi Dayo
Thank you for your books! I got the first three of the Crystal series free on Amazon and then bought books 5 & 6. Thank you for making it possible to get books 4 & 6.5 free on PDF! I got very into the story and I’m dying to know whether Juda will EVER give his life to the Lord! I’ve looked all over for information on Sleeper – book 7, but I can find nothing. When will it be available for purchase? My curiosity is killing me! Thank you for glorifying the Lord in your writing, may He bless your ministry!
    In His grip

    • kathrynsouth says:

P.S. I’m writing a book about forgiveness called Ransomed. I’ve researched all over to find a drug that would make it possible for my heroine’s psychologist to control her so she would betray her friends. I couldn’t find one that matched my specifications. And then I read your books and realised that I can just make one up! Thank you for that idea! Your descriptions of the drugs that the SOT uses in your Crystal series are so inventive, I hope mine will be as good!

      • Dayo Benson says:

Ransomed sounds good. Yes, use your imagination and make it up! Ha ha. The whole story is from your imagination so why not the drugs? Good luck with the book.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Amen 🙂 Well, Sleeper is currently with my beta readers. They’re going to tear it apart for me. Then it’s going for editing on Monday. It’s a make or break book for Juda, so stay tuned. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the books xx

  40. Kim says:

I have read the Crystal series(1-6.5). I found the free 3 book set on Amazon. I enjoyed it so much, I finished the series in a matter of days! I enoy the blend of Sci-Fi/Paranomal and Suspense. At 34, it is hard to find books in these genres that aren’t full of sex and profanity, unless it is Teen/YA. I love that you have managed to blend Christian issues with witchcraft and secret world rulers. The characters are so well written, you bond closely with them. I found myself rooting for Juda to surreneder right along with Crystal. I can’t wait to see what journey we get taken on next!

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Kim, thanks for your comment. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series. All your kind words are much appreciated 🙂 Sleeper (Crystal 7) is a make or break book for Juda so watch this space. God bless.

  41. Anonymous says:

    Your books are sooooooooooooooooooo AWESOM.WOW!

I just finished reading LUST and I have to say it was the BEST book I have ever read. You are an amazing writer. I just finished ordering Bondage and a box set. I couldn’t stop reading… I got sucked right into the story and I was lost. I loved it!!! I might read LUST again… it was too good…

  43. Shauna says:

    Hey Dayo
I’m just wondering if you have any idea on how soon sleeper (crystal 7) will be out
I’m dying to read it I’m trying to distract myself from this by reading the left behind series while at school…. It’s not working😭

  44. Aniesha says:

I’m so ready for the 7th book in the Crystal series I don’t know what to do. I need Juda to get saved and get his girl already sheesh Lol.

  45. Zoe says:

    Hi Dayo,
You are by far my favourite author and I often find myself quoting and making references to your books and the characters in your books when I’m talking to people, particularly when I’m encouraging them about something they may be going through. Your characters are so relatable!
I have read all your books and I can say so much about each one of them. The Crystal Series in particular has opened my eyes to the spiritual battle and I look forward to reading what happens next. Crystal’s faith, determination and zeal is inspiring…I’m eagerly awaiting the next book!
You are a very talented writer and you inspire me to use the gifts God has given me to also write.
May God continue to fill you with ideas and nurture your creativity. May He bless you and your family always and may He meet you at the point of your need in Jesus name.
Keep doing what you’re doing 🙂

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hey Zoe, thank you for such a lovely comment. I’m glad you find my characters relatable and enjoy my books. It means a lot to me. You have no idea 🙂 So you’re a writer, too? I find that the more I write, the more inspiration I get, so I’d say commit it to God and then just start writing. Once again, thank you & Amen to all your prayers for me. God bless you and your family too xx

  46. bernadette says:

I love your Crystal series I’m looking forward to reading more of your books

  47. mikel smith says:

Hi Dayo I’ve read all your free books and I’ll say you are the best…how I wish wish I would be able to purchase the rest but I can’t . Anyway you are a good writer keep it up.

  48. Amy says:

Hi Dayo. I have just finished reading sleeper and thinks it’s AMAAAAZIIING!!!! I was half waythrough the book and thought “How on earth Dayo going to write another 2 books on this!?!?!?” But now I realise. I am shocked that Luke is being so blatantly obvious about what he is doing. But can I just say praise the Lord about Juda! I thought it would never happen. K won’t say anymore so I don’t ruin the story for those who haven’t read it. Keep writing!
    Godspeed and God bless
    Amy xx

Hi Dayo, I’m one of your biggest fans. Your books are very enjoyable to read and filled with drama, jokes, romance, intrigue, and suspense; all coming from a Christian prospective. Thank you and continue to allow God to use you in your gift. I have a quick question, I noticed that there is an Expo 6.5 for 0.99 cents on Amazon. Can you let me know if additional pages were added to version that was emailed to your customers for free who signed up for updates? I’m so sorry if I’m asking a question that you have already responded too. Thank you for your response.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi C-Ann, it’s exactly the same book that my customers received for free so you can skip buying it 🙂 I’m really glad you find my books enjoyable. Thanks for taking the time to comment and give me your feedback. I really appreciate it. God bless.

      • C-Ann says:

Thank you for your response Dayo!!! I anxiously await the rest of the Crystal books (#8-12)!! Also, I encourage to write what God leads you to write. As an avid reader of your work, the only thing that I expect when I read your books is to read a well written clean story with well developed characters that has a theme or moral and makes me hope, laugh, and celebrate victories. You’ve already developed your nitch which is to make your characters and your readers glorify God even if they never dreamed they would. Continue to allow God to use you and to develop your gift. God bless you.

      • Dayo Benson says:

Thank you C-Ann. ‘Write what God leads you to write’ is awesome advice. I say it to myself, but it’s great to hear it from someone else, lol. I like your perspective on my niche. Food for thought 🙂
God bless & have a fabulous week.

Hi Yvonne, thank you so much for your comment. You have no idea how thrilled I am whenever an older reader gets in touch to say they like my books. I have never personally tasted sweet potato pie or cornbread because I’m British, but I am determined to have some sweet potato pie someday because it sounds delicious 🙂 God bless.

Hi! I just wanted to say I got the Beauty for Ashes series on my Kindle a few years ago. Love, love, loved it. It’s one of the few series that I can reread every few months and still love it, just did it again for about the fifth time. I just got the first three of the Crystal Series, sadly just found them, and I look forward to reading them next. I love the messages and scripture and your ability to intertwine them with the stories and still keep it interesting and not cheesy overkill.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Jessica, I’m really glad you like the Beauty for Ashes Series. That you can read it five times is amazing 🙂

I am a fan.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Thanks Aretha. I really appreciate your kind words. I’m so glad you’re enjoying my books. Powerful Enemies is currently with my editor and my beta readers. I’m hoping to still be able to get it out this month. If not it’ll be next month, latest. God bless.

  77. Emily says:

Oh my goodness! I’m currently reading book 8, and it’s SO GOOD. I think I might cry when the series is over (Haha!) I know it’s early to ask, since you’re still working on the Crystal books, but have you decided if there will be a sort of continuation of the Crystal books (like if Crystal has kids or something)? Or maybe a series about someone we’re familiar with from the Crystal books? I feel like I know Crystal and her team personally, haha!

  78. Tina Brown says:

I have just finished book 8 when will book 9 be coming out

  79. Anonymous says:

Hi Dayo, just finished reading searchlight other than the length it’s an amazing story. Plan to read the whole series. BTW I’m 58 years old and I love your writing style. Although I don’t know you I feel like I do through your book. May God continue to use you for His glory

  80. Margaret says:

  81. Nida Picton says:

Hi Dayo, justice finished reading Refiners Fire and other than the length I throughly enjoyed it The whole series was good God really does give bequity for ashes. God bless you as you use your gift for His glory.

      • Nida Picton says:

        Hi Dayo,
I’ve read your beauty for ashes and the first 3 in the Crystal series. I am now trying to get the rest of the Crystal series but they are not available on amazon. Is there another means available by which I can get them? Thanks, Nida

      • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Nida, which Amazon store do you use? I’ll look into it. They should all be available on Amazon. Please let me know.

      • Nida Picton says:

        Hi Dayo,
Thanks for your reply, I use amazon.ca as I am in Canada, I just checked and the books are available now. Will be purchasing allies today.

  82. Heather Sims says:

The Crystal series would make an amazing tv- mini-series, or movie

    • Dayo Benson says:

That would be great 🙂 I’d love some movie producers to come knocking on my door.

      • Heather Sims says:

You definitely have a God-given gift for stories and making them ring with spiritual and real life TRUTHS. I would not be surprised in the least if someone like Roma Downey or even another Christian producer would contact you for such a thing. I will absolutely be praying for God to move here. I think that the real implications of our coming spiritual warfare will make a movie/show such as this a means for reaching out to those who may be on the other team and maybe not as knowledgeable about God’s power and love. I also wanted you to know that even though this is supposed to be a teen series, I am a grandmother and could not stop devouring the story because of how well written it was. Much love to you my sister in Christ!

      • Dayo Benson says:

Well I am absolutely delighted that a grandmother is enjoying my books. You’re obviously somebody who is young at heart 🙂 Thank you for all your kind words. I’m always touched when readers say they’re praying for me. That is so sweet.
I would be over the moon if any of my books ever get made into movies. You can definitely reach more people through movies than through books, as not everyone likes to read.
God bless and have a lovely weekend xx

      • Maureen says:

        Hi Dayo,
Do you have a date for legacy yet?

      • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Maureen, not yet sorry. I am still doing re-writes on it (believe me it needs re-writing). Then it’ll be off to my editor. I’m aiming for May, but I say that very hesitantly 🙂

      • ranfam4 says:

        I completely agree!! TV mini-series!!!

      • Dayo Benson says:

I’m still praying for it to happen 🙂

  83. Nicole F says:

    Hello Dayo!
Are you working on any other books?

  84. Charmayne says:

How did you create an organization like the S.O.T.? As a fellow writer, I’m trying to dig more into creating a villain for my protagonist. Any suggestions?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Charmayne, to be honest the SOT just evolved as I wrote. I had a pretty clear idea of what kind of organization it was before I started writing though. The main advice I’d give for creating a villain is that in their own mind they think they’re doing the right thing and they’re very passionate about it. Also, they should have some redeeming qualities as no one is 100% bad qualities (that makes them more believable). Hope this helps 🙂

  85. Irene McGoey says:

    Hi Dayo,
I loved all your books … I read the Crystal Series and I am having withdrawals waiting for book #9 … lol …. your writing is amazing .. I am 52 years old and went though 1000s on books in my lifetime so far .. I am on your list when ever a new book comes out from you. Your writing.is the best !!!! • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Irene, I’m really glad you’re enjoying the Crystal series. Your comment is so sweet, honestly I’m touched 🙂 I’m doing re-writes on Crystal 9 so it’ll be a month or two. I’ll be as quick as I can.
      God bless xx

What a wonderful approach for Christian readers, I am in awe! Thank-you so much for sharing your God give talent, and allowing fellow Christians to enjoy excellent reading! A must for all!

  95. Heather says:

Your books are amazing! Loved the Crystal series! When will Legacy be out?

  96. Your books are wonderful. God bless you.

  97. Elizabeth says:

  98. Maria says:

Can you please let me know when Legacy will be out. I’ve read your Searchlight books and can’t wait what happened to Juda and Crystall

  99. Jean Phillips says:

I am amazed after reading your searchlight series. I sense God’s spirit directing your writing that is so inspiring and realistic and is actually portraying (even though it is fictional) a very realistic present day battle that is going on in our world and our nations. Your writing challenges all who will listen to the very real battle going on between satanism and our Lord and Savior Jesus everyday. That all power is available through the Spirit of the Lord. This series has challenged me personally in my daily walk and communion with the Lord. To put him first and expect his power to be available to his “kids”. Thank you for being faithful to your calling.

  100. Carla Randall says:

Dayo Benson!!! I am a 49 year old woman and I started reading the Crystal series. I am almost done with #3. My daughter wants to read them so I went on to Barnes & Noble website so she could download your books onto her tablet. I thought I was almost done with the Crystal series. NOPE!!! There is a lot more!! WOOHOO!! Can’t wait to read more!! I also can’t wait to read your other books. God bless you Dayo. I think it is so important for young people to know, in these end times, how important it is to stand up for Jesus, no matter what. Thank you for being an example!! Well done!!

    • Dayo Benson says:

Thank you, Carla 🙂 I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Crystal series. I hope your daughter enjoys them too. Yes, there are lots of books in the series (nine in total 🙂 ) Happy reading xx

  101. caeranoelle says:

Oh my days! I’m so intrigued by the Crystal Series… I am currently reading Legacy. I really hope that this isn’t the final book in the series, as I love all of the characters too much. Thank you for such inspiring literature! ☺

  102. Wow just got done with the crystal series! I love the way you make evil real in your books. I think in today’s world people don’t think the devil is not real or he can’t influence people. I also love how you made Angels the way the bible describes them… Mighty and strong. I cried at the end of the last book… You made your people so real.. sad to have it end. Thank you for useing the gifts God gave you to make books. You have an amazing gift that shines Gods truth. Can’t wait to start to read more of your other books.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Great to hear from you Laura. I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the Crystal series. I hope you enjoy my other books too. Thank you for all your kind words 🙂 God bless.

  103. I have read all your books and I must say they are amazing. The Crystal series was definitely worth my time. I loved every minute of it. You bring reality to most of the things we hear around us. God bless you for sharing with us your stories. Keep up the good work.

  104. Marian says:

Hello Dayo, I’m just in love with your writing and I must say you are a very good writer. Your stories are so real and educative. I can’t wait to read more. I intend to introduce my daughter and friends to your books.

  105. Victoria says:

  106. Anonymous says:

You are such an amazing writer!
I really love the Crystal series.
    God bless you big!!

  107. Victoria says:

    Good morning Dayo,
I too love to read. But nowadays, like wholesome tv shows to watch, wholesome movies at theaters to go see, movies online, DVDs etc, good wholesome books are getting harder and harder to find. When I do find a really good book to read, 80% of the time, they cost too much or they are free only if you buy another book or product. Being a disabled senior citizen and on a.very fixed income, I have to pass them up. But every now and then I would come across a writer, like yourself, who being avid readers themselves, unselfishly makes their books available for FREE. You just don’t know the extent of my gratitude for the generosity and sacrifices you and other good authors make in order for people like me who have difficulty getting to libraries, to have the privilege of receiving good Christian novels to read.
I love hearing, reading, studying and memorizing Our Father’s Word. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME. You asked the question why I like to read Christian books. I don’t believe God would bless a person with the talent to write if He didn’t intend for that talent to be used. It’s how that talent is used that makes the difference. We all have free will to use our talents to honor and glorify our Creator or promote what the majority wants to really see, hear, or read.
I don’t know if you ever read books like Nancy Drew and Hardee Boys mystery books, The Bobbsey Twins, My Friend Flicka, Fury, National Velvet, In His Steps, and more recent books, Cloudy Jewel, Free To Love, Welcome To Last Chance, Lingering Shadows, Wild Irish Heart, Flowers In The Snow to name a few. Some are suspenseful, some are tear jerkers, some are hilarious, but they are all descent books that you can cozy down with and get lost in.
Thank you again for sharing your amazing books. May God continue to bless you as you use your talent to honor Him.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Victoria, I read a lot of Nancy Drew and one or two of the Hardy Boys when I was a child. I loved them 🙂 Like you I love a good read so thanks for all the books you mentioned. Thank you also for letting me know why you read Christian fiction. I really like your answer.
Thank you for such a kind comment. I really appreciate it. I truly regard it an honour and privilege to have people read my books, which is why I give so many away for free.
May God bless and keep you xx

  108. Dee says:

    Hi dayo,
I absolutely love your books and find them so inspirational and intrumental in my new walk with God.
I have finished reading all your books and wanted to find out if you have any new books coming out soon ? Or would it have to be a bit of a wait

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Dee, I’m really glad you like my books 🙂 Yes, there are lots of books coming soon. Make sure you’re on my mailing list so that you’ll get a notification as soon as I release anything xx

  109. Wairimu says:

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Fundai, I’m glad you enjoyed the Crystal series. That’s awesome 🙂 Yes, I have more Crystal books planned so make sure you’re on my mailing list to stay up to date.

  111. I just finished reading the first three books of the Searchlight series on my Kindle I really enjoyed them. I am looking forward to reading more of that series and your other books.

  112. LJ Meyers says:

Hi Dayo, I just finished the 3 books of the Searchlight series and was really impressed that you were able to incorporate what is happening today in our world with the Lord’s followers as the main characters. Thank you and I look forward to my next book! God bless you!

  113. Glenn Merrill says:

Hey! I am a guy and a pastor who has been enjoying the Crystal series. I don’t consider them ‘chic’ books! LOL.

  114. Angelica says:

I think I’ve fallen in love all over again. I’ve picked up my habit of reading all over again and the first few books that I’ve read just so happened to be yours. I started with Surrender because for some reason it just kept popping up in my suggested books. I’m so glad I caved into reading it. I read insurrection and went back to searchlight. I’m in complete awe with these books. It’s to the point I read it and actually dreamed of the characters and it seemed like I was watching a movie. It stopped wherever I stopped in the book so I can’t wait to read the rest. You are truly talented and it’s a joy reading. I’ve even shared this book with my Christian group. Hopefully they read it. Continue writing! You have a great spirit.

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Angelica, it’s great to hear that my books have helped you rediscover your love for reading 🙂 I hope you enjoy the rest of the series. Thank you for recommending the books to others. I really appreciate that.
      God bless.

      • Angelica says:

I’m soooo much more in tuned now that I’ve made it to book 8. I have to wait until Friday before I can read 8 and 9 😩 Due to finances lol (the struggle of a college student)! But I’m counting down the days! I really wish these books would end up in a director’s hand so that he could bring these characters to life on the screen. I’m just in awe right now. Keep it up!!! 😁

      • Dayo Benson says:

Well, I would love for these books be made into movies. That would be awesome. Believe me I know all about the struggles of a college student. It doesn’t seem like that long since I was one myself. My money usually went on shoes so kudos to you for buying books 🙂 Enjoy your binge read this weekend.

  115. Tianna,marlin says:

So I think there is a rule we are you have to ask the author if you can write another book onto there series. So I was going to ask if I can make another book onto the last crystal series book keep it to me? And if you say yes then I would like to know, because in the last book crystal is pregnant with child number three and it is a girl, I would like to know what you would name it?

    • Dayo Benson says:

Hi Tianna, to be totally honest with you I haven’t thought of what their daughter’s name is going to be. So are you planning to write like a fan fiction book for the Crystal series? That’s fine by me. You can choose any name you want for their daughter and you could always change it at a later date if I write a follow on series that includes their daughter’s name 🙂
